Privacy policy

Updated: 17 August 2026

This site belongs to Oleksandr Savchenko, Federal Way, WA, USA (“we”). This page explains what data about you is
collected, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: oleksandrsavchenko26@gmail.com.

What data we collect

When you buy

To place an order we need your first name, last name and e-mail. For printed books we also need
the shipping address: country, street, city, state and postcode. A phone number is optional.
We keep the contents of the order, the amount, the date and the payment status.

Legal basis: performance of a contract — without this data we cannot send you the files or ship the book.

When you pay

The card number, expiry date and security code are entered into the form of the payment provider
Stripe and never reach our site. We neither see nor store card details. Stripe
receives your amount, currency, country and e-mail in order to take the payment and prevent fraud.
Their policy: stripe.com/privacy.

When you create an account

We store your username, e-mail, name, optionally your address and the list of purchases, so that
you can download the files you bought again later. The password is stored only in encrypted form;
it cannot be recovered, only replaced with a new one.

When you comment on a poem

We store your name, e-mail and the text of the comment. The e-mail is not published. To filter
out spam we briefly keep an anonymised fingerprint of your network address — the address itself
cannot be reconstructed from it, and it is erased within a minute.

When you just read the site

The server records ordinary technical information: the page address, the time and the browser
type. This is needed for the site to work and to protect it from password guessing — failed sign-in
attempts are counted by an anonymised fingerprint of the address and are erased automatically.

Cookies

We use:

  • Strictly necessary — cart, account sign-in, form protection. The site does not
work without them, so they are always set.
  • Third-party services — embedded YouTube videos. They are loaded in no-tracking
mode (youtube-nocookie), but YouTube can still receive information about your device.

The detailed list is in the Cookie policy.
You can change your consent settings at any time through the consent window at the bottom of the page.

Who we share data with

  • Stripe — processing payments.
  • Hosting — storing the site and the database. TO BE FILLED IN: name and country of the host.
  • Mail service — receipts and file links. TO BE FILLED IN if an external mailing service is used.

We do not sell or pass your data to anyone else. To public authorities — only on a lawful request.

How long we keep data

  • Orders and receipts — as long as bookkeeping requires (usually several years).
  • The account — as long as you use it. You can delete it yourself in the “Data” section; this also
removes access to the files you bought, so download them first.
  • Comments — while they are published; we will remove them at your request.
  • Technical protection counters — minutes, erased on their own.

Your rights

You can ask us to: show what data about you we hold; correct it; delete it; give you a copy in a
readable format; stop sending you mail. Write to
oleksandrsavchenko26@gmail.com — we answer within a month.

If you are in the European Union and believe we handle your data incorrectly, you have the right
to complain to the supervisory authority of your country.

Children

The site is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If the rules change, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
